Volkswagen – Then. Now. Always.

Volkswagen, located in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany, is part of the multi-national Volkswagen Group. VW was founded in 1937 to produce the VW Beetle (originally referred to as the Porsche Type 60, then the Volkswagen Type 1). Beetle production grew very quickly in the 1950’s and 1960’s, and in 1965 Volkswagen acquired Auto Union (Audi). In the 1970’s VW started offering front wheel drive vehicles such as the Polo, Passat, and Golf. In 1986 Volkswagen became the controlling stakeholder in the Spanish manufacturer SEAT, then of Skoda in ’94, then Bentley, Bugatti, and Lamborghini in ’98, followed by truck manufacturer Scania in 2008, and finally Italian motorcycle company Ducati, truck manufacturer MAN and also Porsche in 2012. As of 2016, Volkswagen has become the highest volume automaker in the world. A brief history of Volkswagen can be found here;

Matrix Integrated’s passion for German vehicles began with the performance tuning of watercooled Volkswagen’s almost 20 years ago. We fell in love with the original VW hot hatches because we were incredibly impressed with their engineering and build quality. They offered superior performance in a small, light and nimble package, and thus were a blast to drive. Our performance-oriented Volkswagen clients needed their vehicles repaired as well, which then led to us also offering routine factory-scheduled maintenance to keep the cars in the most reliable condition. As VW has grown into offering other vehicles like wagons and SUV’s, Matrix has stayed updated on all of the latest models. Whether your Volkswagen needs expert diagnosis, mechanical repair or maintenance, or you’re looking to enhance performance, trust our team at Matrix Integrated.
